My son “Fun Guy” is ten (almost eleven-years-old) and sometimes I ask him what to draw. He usually tries to think of something really weird because the sketches turn out funnier that way.
Yesterday I asked him what to draw and without even stopping to think or take a breath he blurted out, “Draw a fire hose with a mustache.”
Now that is weird! – but fun.
So here for your viewing pleasure is “a fire hose with a mustache”.
But, it got me to thinking about all the men and women who are heroes. There are firemen, police officers, doctors, teachers, parents, coaches, ministers, and others right in your community. Those type people are the real heroes of the world.
Batman, Iron Man or The Hulk are just pretend. But hardworking, dedicated loving people who take care of you and your community are the real heroes of the world.
When you say your prayers tonight, why not take just an extra few moments and thank God for the real heroes that He has given us?
You may dress-up like a pretend hero sometimes and that is fun. But just remember who the REAL heroes in the world are.
