
Creating hand shadow puppets is a lot of fun. Here are some tips and some patterns you can use.
Tips
A flat, light colored wall makes the best surface to cast shadows.
A single source of light that is concentrated works best. Use a lamp without a lampshade, a flashlight or overhead projector.
You must experiment by trying different things to see what looks best.
As you get farther from the wall the shadow gets bigger but less defined.
Turning your hands slightly will often make a big difference in how the shadow looks.
