Easter is when we remember that Jesus rose again. It is fun to make Easter eggs, go on Easter egg hunts, get goodies from the Easter Bunny in your Easter basket and spend time with your family on Easter Sunday.
Here is a fun arts and craft project that you can do before Easter to decorate your house.

Materials You Will Need
- White Glue
- Colored Yarn
- A Balloon for each egg you make
- Ribbon (to hang the eggs)
Inflate Balloon
Inflate the balloon part way. Don’t make it too big or it will pop too easily.
Cut Yarn
Cut colored yarn into 12 inch pieces. The more you use the more colorful and denser your egg will be. However, it will take longer to make and longer to dry.
Glue
Mix three parts glue with one part warm water. Soak one of your 12 inch pieces of yarn in the glue-water mixture. Do not try to do more than one piece of yarn at a time.
Yarn on the Balloon
Place your balloon on a sheet of newspaper because it gets very messy. Lay the yarn across the balloon. Wrap it as far around the balloon as you can. The yarn will tend to stick to the balloon because of the glue-water mix. Be sure to criss-cross your pieces of yarn so they are not going the same direction. The yarn egg gets stronger as the pieces of yarn dry. The intersections of yarn make it stronger.
Keep Covering
Keep covering your ballon with yarn. The more you do, the better the results. Don’t skimp here. It takes a while but it is fun.
Let It Dry
This is the hardest part because you have to wait patiently for the whole thing to dry. Let it dry at least over night. Longer if the yarn was really soaked with glue.

List is how it would look if it has white yarn.
After it is totally dry you can tie a ribbon on it to hand it or you can decorate a table with it.
Finished Eggs
You can tie the dried egg on a piece of ribbon.

You can set the finished eggs in Easter “grass”
