Happy 4th of July - Independence Day to all our friends in the United States.

We have visitors in all 50 states in the U.S. but did you know that we have friends on every continent in the world (except Antarctica)?

Here’s a question for some of our many friends who live outside of the United States. What are some of the holidays in your country that you enjoy?

Four our Fourth of July celebration our family is going to a cookout at some friends’ house and then we are all going to a mall parking lot where we can watch fireworks.

Also, we plan to go swimming. Last week I got sunburned at the swimming pool a little. I have to be more careful.

I am so thankful that I am free to worship God and serve Jesus.

If you live in a place where you cannot worship God according to the Bible (and we have some people in countries where people could get in serious trouble just for visiting this “Christian” web site) I am saying a special prayer for you.

If you are blessed to live in a place where you can worship God freely according to the Bible, please say a prayer for our ChurchFun.com friends who don’t.

I sketched this baseball player octopus drawing when I was thinking about how to draw a silly major league baseball player. I don’t think this guy will be using his tentacles in any MLB games soon. Who do you think would win in a game between squid and octopus?

This isn’t the kind of clip art or photo you would see on MySpace or eBay. It is just a funny, joke kind of drawing.

You are not likely to find this guy if you search Yahoo, Google or MSN for baseball players but I think he would be great on any team.

Hey, do you think SpongeBob SquarePants would play with this guy since they both live in the sea? I doubt Nickelodeon or the Disney Channel will be scheduling any games any time soon.

This started out as a crazy idea, “What if beavers started taking up golf as a pastime? Children golfers would like the golf joke while enjoying a fun, clean joke for a sketch.

The beaver is ready to go on the golf course, he has a golf bag full of golf clubs. I think he has all the golf equipment.

You have to wonder what his golf handicap is. He’s been visiting the club golf pro to get some tips and has even spent a lot of money on golf packages at the golf proshop.

I don’t think he’s quite up to joining the PGA or even the LPGA. But you never know.

Hey, if nothing else he will be able to dive in find his golf ball if he hits it into the water.

This missile is scared to follow his exploding command.

When you play games do you get scared from just free online games like Missile Command? Probably not. We know that they are just fun video games.

But there are things in life that can be scary. You know what?…when things scare me there is only one thing that helps me get by….

It is my faith in God. He will never fail me. So I trust him, and I do get frightened a little sometimes but then I remind myself that God is in charge and is taking care of me. I

In fact he is greater than ANYTHING in the world.

It is so amazing to think how God created everything–EVERYTHING.

He made every star we can see (even if we have to use the Hubble Space Telescope to see them). He made galaxies, planets, comets, black holes, nebulae and everything else.

It is also amazing that a God so great also will listen to us when we pray.

Why not spend some time thanking God for all of the cool things in the universe that He made? That would be a good way to praise Him and remind you how great He really is.

This happy rain cloud smiles no matter what the weather is. If the weather channel calls for a hurricane, rain storm or the forecast is sun it is all a fun game to him because he is free to fly above the earth.

The farm below has all the horses put away in the barn so there’s not a horse left out and the crops need the rain so the farmers are happy too.

The lighting from the bolt of lightning looks cool. But there is no danger because it did not hit a tree.

No earthquake is going to bother him.

He doesn’t care if people are in the news like, Paris Hilton, Clay Aiken, Miley Cyrus, Alex Rodriguez, Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan. And he doesn’t spend his days watching The Dark Knight or Hannah Montana. He doesn’t even have a computer so he can’t visit YouTube, Facebook, or eBay.

It would be fun to be a cloud and go drifting by. But I guess we will just have to settle for a drawing of the happiest rain cloud in the world.

This volcano is very happy. Even though he is blowing his stack he keeps a smile on his face. I guess some volcanoes are just more cheerful than others.

There are volcanoes in Hawaii but even though this guy is an active volcano he has never been to Hawaii. He just has a little eruption at home then cools off.

The lava that flows from him looks hot but it doesn’t seem to even bother him. I bet it feels like an earthquake or tsunami when he blows.

He is making his real estate a mountain. I would not want to go on vacation anywhere near this guy. Take me to a lake resort or a rental in Colorado or anywhere just as long as I don’t have to go near this fire mountain.

But, he does look happy. So at least he is in a good mood.

This sketch of a gorilla teacher does not have a real story behind it.

I just wanted to draw two things that you usually don’t think of as going together (gorillas and teachers).

I usually find it funny to put two things together that don’t really go together. It is sometimes just fun to draw things that way.

Is a monkey funny? I like monkeys (and I know, a gorilla is not a monkey). Have you heard Big Idea’s “Veggie Tales” called “Monkey or an Ape”? It is one of the Silly Songs With Larry.

Anyway, I hope you like this …er …monkey …gorilla …ape. Well I hope you like this teacher.

Ouuuuuuch!!!!!

This silly golf ball doesn’t look like he is on any golf vacation. People go to golf courses to have fun but this peice of golf equipment looks like he is not having too much fun right now.

The ball is traveling for golf but not on any golf holiday. I don’t know if he is a Titleist Golf Ball or a Topflight Golf Ball but I bet he doesn’t care if this is Pebble Beach, Augusta or a municipal golf course. In fact, I would imagine that the golf ball here would rather be playing a fun game of miniature golf.

The guy who just hit him with the driver looks like his golf swing does not hook or slice. He may even get a birdie or eagle. You don’t think it could be a hole in one, do you?

So Mr. Callaway down there swinging his Big Birtha Golf Club driver doesn’t have to worry but our little friend here has to get hit for all 18 holes of this golf course.

Maybe the golfer won’t play the back nine.

Hey, doesn’t it look like this guy is having fun skateboarding? I think he looks cool with his skateboard and skate shoes.

Do you think his kids talked him into skateboarding or did he just go to a skate shop and look at the skateboard decks and decide he wanted to take up skateboarding? With all the cool skateboards I kind of think maybe he just thought it looked fun.

This funny guy should be careful. He really needs to be wearing a helmet for safety. Somebody needs to teach him about skateboard safety.

Who would have guessed that a man like this would be a skater? I would not think he would like skateboards or skateboarding. But you never can tell.
