What could be more fun than a cartoon? We plan to have original cartoons as a part of ChurchFun.com at the top of the main page.

Also, there will be silly sketches scattered throughout the site. The cartoons will be in color and the sketches will be in one color pen.

We think you will really like these.

Satellite View of the Crossing of the Red Sea

Satellite view of Crossing of the Red Sea

This just in…there was a satellite flying over the Red Sea when the Children of Israel crossed…well not really. This was done by some artist. But what I like about this picture is, even though this photo is just pretend, it does make you stop and think how powerful and great the real crossing of the Red Sea was.

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

I love to draw. Anytime I get a scrap of paper and a few minutes I start to sketch and doodle. I will post some of my sketches here from time to time just for fun.

Wavy Optical Illusion

wavy otpical illusion

Look at this picture. Move your head back & forth and side to side. See how the picture moves and is wavy? But here is what is really weird, this picture does not really move at all. It just looks like it does.

Remember, things are not always like they seem. We don’t always understand or see everything as they really are but God can open our eyes.

Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face…

Family Game Night

What is a Family Game Night?

It’s a fun way to spend time together and create a family tradition. Here’s a fun recipe on how to maximize the time you have together:

  • Together with your parents, mark your calendars for a night to spend uninterrupted with your family.
  • Eat dinner together, clear the dinner and clean off the table.
  • Leave the TV off and pull out your family’s favorite board game.
  • Put a bowl of snacks on the table.
  • Let the games begin!

Ant on a Coffee Break

The Ant Who Took a Coffee Break

by Curt Gunz

Once there was an ant who decided he didn’t want to work. He thought, “You know what? Gathering food is too hard. Besides, there are a bunch of ants in this ant hill. They can handle it. I think I’ll just take the morning off.”

And that is just what he did!

The other ants rushed by on their way to forage because they knew that winter was coming and they needed to get food.

Well, the ants each had an area near the ant bed to forage. But one area went unsearched because the ant who was supposed to be in that area that morning was on a coffee break.

It just so happened that a little girl had dropped a delicious red lollipop right in the area that the ant on the coffee break was supposed to be searching. It was the kind of lollipop that could feed a whole ant bed for a whole month.

Since the ant was on a coffee break no one from the ant bed found it. Instead the lollipop was harvested by the ants from the ant bed in the next yard.

The ant on the coffee break finally decided to get back to work that afternoon but by then it was too late. The lollipop was gone. (more…)

Professor QBWhere does a monkey go to get a new tail?

The retail store

What do you call a monkey holding a bomb?

A babboom

A woman got on a bus holding a baby. The bus driver said, “That’s the ugliest baby I’ve ever seen!”

In a huff, the woman slammed her fare into the fare box and took an aisle seat near the rear of the bus. The man seated next to her sensed that she was agitated and asked her what was wrong. “The bus driver insulted me,” she fumed.

The man sympathized with her and said, “Why, he’s a public servant and shouldn’t say things to insult passengers.”

“You’re right,” she said. “I think I’ll go back up there and give him a piece of my mind.”

“That’s a good idea,” the man said. “Here, let me hold your monkey.”

What did the banana say to the monkey?

Nothing. Bananas don’t talk!

What do you get when you cross a gorilla and a parrot?

Polly wants a cracker NOW!!!
