Satellite View of the Crossing of the Red Sea
Wednesday, May 21st, 2008
This just in…there was a satellite flying over the Red Sea when the Children of Israel crossed…well not really. This was done by some artist. But what I like about this picture is, even though this photo is just pretend, it does make you stop and think how powerful and great the real crossing of the Red Sea was.
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.
Exodus 14:21-22 (NIV)

Looking at the stars help us to remember how huge and powerful God is. One of the best ways to start your prayers is just to spend some time praising God for how awesome he is.
In II Kings 24:23-25 it tells about a time forty-two young people from the town of Bethel were killed by two bears because they were being disrespectful.
