Sketch of a Skydiver

I love to draw. Anytime I get a scrap of paper and a few minutes I start to sketch and doodle. I will post some of my sketches here from time to time just for fun.

Pirate Sketch

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Pirate SketchPirate sketch just for fun. So swash your buckles or buckle your swashes you scurvy dog. Swab the deck and batten down the main jib. Thars a storm a-brewing out on the boundin’ main.

Hey, I went to Dominica a few times to visit a missionary. That is the island where most of the pirates in the “Spanish Main” stopped first when they came from Europe and the the last stop before they set sail back to Europe.

It is not as developed for tourism as some of the other Caribbean Islands. Here’s a little known fact. The Carib Indians (for whom the Caribbean is named) have their last know settlement on Dominica.

Dominica is different than the Dominican Republic. You’d have to look on a map. Dominica is WAY farther south than the Dominican Republic.

Parts of the Walt Disney movie “Pirates of the Caribbean” was filmed on Dominica. Just the jungle parts not the beach parts.

Ahoy matey.

Beekeeper

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

BeekeeperJust a fun picture of a beekeeper. No story behind it today. My son said, “Draw a beekeeper” so here he is.

I can’t make any promises but if you have a type of job you want me to draw send me an email to me at: ProfessorQB@gmail.com and maybe you’ll see a sketch you suggested right here on ChurchFun.com

When you write be sure and give your first name (first names only) your age and town. That way we can put that by the picture. We want to see all the cool places people are from. But remember no last names. That way we can be nice and safe. You know that is a good plan anytime you are online. Don’t ever give your last name, address, phone number or school name to ANYONE, not even to a fun web site like this. Good web sites like this won’t want that information anyway. It is just safer that way.

Lion for Melita

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

LionHi. My name is Melita.

I live in Brisbane, Australia.

Can you please draw me a lion sketch?

There is a reason. Lions remind me of “Daniel in the Lions’ Den” and
how an angel came and shut the lions mouths. My favourite part is when the bad men were then thrown in the lions’ den themselves.

Those men make me feel ashamed of the human race because of how badly they sinned.

Once again please draw me a lion sketch.

Yours truly,

Melita

Wow! That’s pretty cool that we have friends all the way in Australia. I’m glad to draw Melita a lion. I’m also glad that it reminds her of such a cool Bible story.

If you would like me to draw a sketch that you suggest send your idea to: ProfessorQB@gmail.com

I like to draw people best. So, think of a kind of job a person has and send that to me and I’ll try to get to it. I cannot promise that I’ll get to yours but maybe, just maybe, if you are luck like Melita, you could see a sketch you suggested right her on ChurchFun.com

So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!”

A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel’s situation might not be changed. Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.

At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?” Daniel answered, “O king, live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king.”

The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

Lederhosen Sketch

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

Boy in LederhosenWhen I was a little boy my grandmother visited Germany (her parents had immigrated from Germany and my grandfather’s parents had immigrated from Germany too).

She brought back these really cool short pants that had (what I thought were) built in suspenders. They were leather and I could wear them to church sometimes. They were the only short pants I was allowed to wear to church.

I didn’t know it at the time but those cool pants were called lederhosen. Nothing makes you think of Germany, Switzerland or the Alps quite like lederhosen.

We have friends of ChurchFun.com from all over the world. Send me an email at ProfessorQB@gmail.com and tell me about any special clothes or customs you have that would be interesting to the rest of our ChurchFun.com family here.

I love to sketch for you guys so there will be more coming all the time.

Mushroom Sketch

Friday, June 13th, 2008

MushroomMushroom sketch today. No special story. He looks really happy doesn’t he? or maybe I should say she?

Remember, if you want me to draw a picture that you suggest, send me an email to: ProfessorQB@gmail.com

Tell me your name and town and what you want me to draw and I will get to it when I can.

This mushroom probably needs a story, so if you want to send me an email with a story you make up about this happy mushroom send it and maybe it will be published on ChurchFun.com

“Singing Star” Starfish

Singing StarfishSketch of a starfish who happens to be a singing star.

This is what a concert might look like under the ocean waves.

Would it be fun to go to a concert if you were a fish?

Just a silly thought.

Cowboy Light Bulb - Curt Gunz

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

Cowboy Lightbulb by Curt GunzThis 100 watt light bulb is a cowboy sheriff in the old west. He has a chuck wagon in the background and a campfire nearby.

I don’t really know why there is a light bulb in a western for kids, but he is funny so I drew him.

Professor QB likes this guy too. But he is a clown after all so he always likes funny pictures and funny cartoons like this.

I bet there are a lot of light bulb jokes but are there any light bulb cowboy jokes that a blonde clown would know?

I know he likes clean jokes and jokes for kids, don’t you?

Anyway, I will be drawing more sketches soon so check back often.

See you guys later.
