Professor QB is a friend of Curt Gunz (the owner of the site). Some people have noticed that you never see them in the same room at the same time. Kind-a strange isn’t it?

Professor QB worked his way through college delivering balloons in costume as a clown. His alter ego has been in full-time church ministry and Christian publishing for over 20 years and has a master’s degree in Biblical and Related Studies from Abilene Christian University (Abilene, Texas). But you are on this page to learn about the clown.

A big part of the fun of ChurchFun.com is having Professor QB clowning around on this site. That is why we thought you would like to know a little bit about his clown background

Clown Training

Professor QB wanted to be two things ever since he could remember. 1) A minister 2) A magician/clown

He got the training for the minister part but needed help with the clown part. So…

The best clown training in the world is the famous Ringling Bros. “Clown College” but Professor QB has a wife and four little clowns to feed so he could not drop everything and go off to Clown College.

But, he could bring Clown College to him. So he found the famous “Pricilla Mooseburger” who graduated from Clown College and performed with Ringling Bros. and Disney’s “Circus Fantasy” and attended her “Moose Camp Caravan.”

Every year he continues to hone his art at conventions, workshops and seminars (yes, clowns have seminars).

Professor QB has studied under Hall of Fame clown and Ringling Bros. Clown College instructor Leon “Buttons” McBryde; circus legend “Frosty” Little (one of only four clowns ever given the Ringling Bros. title of Master Clown).

He is a trained ventriloquist and has attended the largest ventriloquist convention in the world the Vent Haven ConVENTion near Cincinnati for three years.

He is an executive officer in his local “clown alley” chapter of the Clowns of America, International. Professor QB is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

Professor QB has taught dozens of others to clown and helped his alley teach a college course for aspiring clowns.
